What makes Monocore bamboo t-shirts different from regular cotton?
Monocore tees are knit from bamboo viscose — a fiber that's naturally softer, more breathable, and more durable than cotton. The fabric is 3× softer than premium cotton on the SkinSoft scale, naturally antibacterial (the fiber itself resists odor-causing microbes without chemical treatment), and holds its shape past 40 washes. The result: a t-shirt that feels better on day one and stays that way for years.
Is bamboo fabric really softer than cotton?
Yes — independent testing places bamboo viscose at roughly 3× the softness of premium long-staple cotton. The fiber is naturally round and smooth; cotton fibers are flat and ribbon-like, which is what creates that slightly scratchy feel cotton can have when new. The first time you wear a Monocore tee you'll feel the difference, especially around the neck and shoulders.
Is bamboo fabric naturally antibacterial?
Bamboo contains a natural antimicrobial agent called bamboo-kun that resists odor-causing bacteria. This isn't a chemical treatment that washes out — it's intrinsic to the fiber. In practice that means Monocore tees stay fresher longer, can be worn 2–3 times between washes, and don't pick up the stale smell cotton tees often do in a single Indian summer workday.
Will my Monocore tee shrink, pill, or fade?
Pre-shrunk in production, so you won't see meaningful size change after the first wash. Bamboo viscose is also more pilling-resistant than cotton because the longer fibers don't break and migrate to the surface the way short cotton fibers do. Color holds past 40 wash cycles in lab testing — most cotton tees lose visible color by 20–25 washes.
Is bamboo fabric safe for sensitive skin and allergies?
Bamboo viscose is hypoallergenic and free of the pesticide residues that can come with cotton. The fiber's smooth surface doesn't itch when you sweat. Our fabrics are lab-tested for harmful substances. Recommended for eczema-prone skin — but every body is different, which is why we give you an easy 10-day return window to try one for yourself.
Are Monocore fabrics lab-tested?
Yes. Every batch is tested for skin safety, color fastness, dimensional stability, and tensile strength before going into production. We use independent third-party labs — never self-certify. Test certificates are available on request: write to contact@monocoretrading.com.
How do I choose the right size?
Every product page has a Size guide button next to the size pills, showing chest, length, and shoulder measurements for each size. Our fit runs true-to-size — if you wear M in most brands, M will fit you here. If you're between sizes or want a slightly relaxed look, size up.
What's the fit — slim, regular, or relaxed?
Monocore's signature fit is regular — not skin-tight, not oversized. Designed to look good tucked or untucked, layered or solo. Styles with a different fit (Relaxed Fit Tee, Crop Tee) are named clearly so you know what to expect.
What if I'm between two sizes?
Size up. Bamboo viscose has a touch of natural give that hugs the body well, and our cuts don't run tight — going up gives you the relaxed-but-shaped look most people want from a premium tee.
How do I wash and care for my Monocore tee?
Cold machine wash (30°C max), gentle cycle, with similar colors. Air dry or tumble dry on low. Don't bleach. Iron only if needed and on low heat. Following this routine keeps the fabric soft and the color crisp for 40+ washes.
How many washes will my tee last?
Lab-tested for 40+ wash cycles without significant color fade or shape loss. In real-world use that's roughly 1–2 years of weekly wear, depending on how often you cycle your wardrobe.
How long will my order take to arrive?
Metro cities (Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Pune): 2–4 business days.
Other locations across India: 4–7 business days.
Orders are dispatched within 24 hours of placement (excluding Sundays and public holidays). You'll get a tracking link by SMS and email once dispatched.
Is shipping free?
Yes — free shipping on every order, with no minimum order value. What you see on the product page is what you pay at checkout.
Do you offer cash on delivery (COD)?
Yes — COD is available across India at no extra charge. We also accept UPI (GPay, PhonePe, Paytm), credit/debit cards, and net banking. UPI is fastest at checkout — order confirmation in under 30 seconds.
Can I return or exchange my order?
Yes — easy returns and exchanges within 10 days from delivery, as long as the tee is unworn, unwashed, and has the original tags. Reply to your order confirmation email or write to contact@monocoretrading.com to start one, and we'll arrange a pickup from your address.
For returns, your refund is issued as Monocore store credit that you can use on any future order (less the return pickup fee where it applies — see “Who pays for return shipping?” below). Every order is also eligible for one free size exchange.
How are refunds issued, and how long do they take?
Refunds are issued as Monocore store credit — credit you can use on any future order. Once we receive the returned item, your store credit is issued within 7 business days, and we'll email you as soon as it's ready to use. It works the same whether you paid by UPI, card, net banking, or COD.
Who pays for return shipping?
For defective, damaged, or incorrect items, we do — pickup is free and the full amount comes back to you as store credit (or we ship a replacement at no charge). For other returns, a reverse-logistics fee of ₹150 (one item) or ₹250 (two or more items) is adjusted against your store credit. Your first size exchange per order always ships free. Full details in our Return Policy.
Where are Monocore t-shirts made?
Designed and manufactured in India. Our cut-and-sew partner is in Tirupur (Tamil Nadu) — the same cluster that makes premium tees for global brands. Our registered office is in New Delhi: MONOCORE TRADING, E-46/12 Shri Maa Anandmai Marg, Okhla Industrial Estate Phase-2, New Delhi 110020.
Why is bamboo more sustainable than cotton?
Bamboo grows up to 1 meter a day without irrigation, pesticides, or replanting (it regenerates from the same root system). Cotton uses ~2,700 liters of water for a single t-shirt; bamboo's water footprint is a small fraction of that. Bamboo is also fully biodegradable at end-of-life. Our processing uses closed-loop systems where solvents are recovered and reused.
